Michael Scott (Steve Carell)
Michael Scott is the regional manager of Dunder Mifflin Inc., a Scranton branch of paper and printer Distribution Company. Michael thinks of himself as the office comedian, which is totally the opposite. His attempts at humor are totally unfunny and most of the time inappropriate, although he means well, and just doesn’t have any idea that his humor is not at all humorous to his subordinates.

Michael often goes out of his way to be the center of attention, although his subordinates think of him as really a nuisance. Though he was once a brilliant salesman, his promotion put him in a position above his level of competence. However, he was still capable of showing powerful business acumen, and he occasionally helps his employees in maintaining sales relationship with clients.
Steve Carell plays the role of Michael. Steve is best known for films he starred at such as The 40 Year Old Virgin, Evan Almighty, Little Miss Sunshine, Dan in Real Life, and Get Smart. He also voiced Gru, the main character in the film Despicable Me. He won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a TV Comedy Series for his role as Michael Scott in The Office.
