Season 5
At the beginning of the season of ‘The Office‘ , Jim asks for Pam’s hand in marriage, and she joyously says “yes!” But then, she starts studying a three-month graphic design course at Pratt Institute in New York. The distance gets in the way of their relationship. Not long, she goes back to Scranton. Jim purchases his parents’ house for them.

Ryan, who consistently refrained from jail and only did community service, goes back to Dunder Mifflin and works as a temporary worker. However, despite his position, he promises to himself that he will get a top-ranking job someday. He gets involved in a short relationship with Kelly, and asks money from her to be able to go to Thailand with some friends. Michael and Holly get together, even though Jan tries to separate them, so as not to get Michael involved with her daughter’s birth. However, when the corporate discovers about their relationship, Holly is forced to move to the Nashua branch and they split up. From Costa Rica, Toby returns Scranton and goes back to being the HR representative. Michael hates this news.
Even though Angela is committed to Andy, she continues her relationship with Dwight. When the others find out about this, Andy and Dwight fight with each other. When Andy discovered that Angela slept with the two of them, he calls off their wedding. Dwight separates them. Meanwhile, Michael gets praises from the individual and branch success in the hard economic times. However, he silently questions the practices of his corporate business.
